2022 YAB Leadership Summit
“Lead You Before Leading Others”
June 16-17, 2022


 
The Youth Summit is a two-day event that provides youth a platform to develop their professional leadership skills through networking and workshops facilitated by the YAB leadership and staff.

Day 1
Registration begins at 9:00 am

  • Welcome by the Office of Children, Youth, & Families
  • Keynote Presentation: Anthony Stukes
    • Anthony Stukes is a psychotherapist with 25 years of experience providing services to adolescents, young adults, and families in various therapeutic settings. In addition to providing individual and family therapy at Stukes Counseling, Anthony has provided direct support to the Diakon Wilderness Center in Boiling Springs, PA. He has worked with over 8,000 youth in his career.
  • Professional Development Sessions
    • Finding Your First Apartment
    • Strategic Sharing
  • Sacred Circle
    • A safe space. Sacred circle is an opportunity for youth to share, reflect, and discuss relevant issues with other youth from all across the state. These conversations are youth facilitated and will be an opportunity for youth to not only feel supported, but to also support others who may reflect similar challenges.
  • Staff Session: Anthony Stukes
    • This keynote session will focus on maintaining virtual engagement, building rapport, and improving communication with youth.

  • Evening Activity: ABC East Lanes/Harrisburg Escape Rooms
    • Bowling, Escape Room, and Dinner

Day 2
Day begins at 8:30 am

  • Professional Development Sessions
    • How to Conduct Yourself in Court
    • Landing Your Dream Job
  • Youth Permanency Information Session
