PERMANENCY GAME INSRUCTIONS
The PA Youth Advisory Board (YAB) wants to support educating youth to ensure they understand permanency goals. The purpose of the Permanency Game is to help youth by teaching them while increasing their knowledge about permanency goals. Youth have expressed that they often feel misinformed due to a lack of communication and or explanation regarding permanency goals and their hierarchy. The Permanency Game gives youth a hands-on experience about the challenges and benefits on the road to permanency. While playing the game, youth will work as a team of siblings to navigate around the board to make it "home." Keeping in mind the goal for all youth in care is to transition safely and legally with a permanent family. The Permanency Game is designed to help stakeholders educate youth about permanency goals in a youth-friendly and engaging manner.
